Stainless steel self-priming magnetic pumps are widely used in the industrial field. However, different working conditions have significant differences for the pumps. How to select an appropriate magnetic pump is the key to ensuring production safety and efficiency.

Parameters to consider when choosing

Medium properties: Based on the corrosiveness of the liquid being transported, choose 304 or 316L stainless steel material.

Flow rate and head: Based on the process requirements, ensure that the pump’s flow rate curve matches the system.

Self-priming height: Based on the installation location, verify whether the pump’s self-priming capability meets the operating conditions.

Temperature requirements: Standard pumps are suitable for temperatures ranging from -20℃ to 100℃. For high-temperature liquids, special materials should be selected.

Viscosity and impurities: Media with high viscosity or containing solid particles require special customization.

Installation and Usage Notes

Before starting, it is necessary to inject an appropriate amount of liquid into the pump chamber to prevent idle rotation.

The pipeline layout should be simple, and the number of bends and valve resistance should be minimized as much as possible.

It is strictly prohibited to convey media containing ferromagnetic particles, as this may cause damage to the magnetic coupling.

Regularly inspect the coupling and bearings to ensure they are in good working condition.

Application Examples

In the acid liquid transfer system of a chemical plant, the stainless steel self-priming magnetic pump not only effectively prevented leakage but also reduced the maintenance frequency, ensuring continuous production.
