The silver plating filter features fully fluorinated highly corrosion-resistant materials, non-metallic wetted parts, and precision filtration, specially engineered for the highly corrosive environment of cyanide and cyanide-free silver plating solutions. It effectively prevents silver ion displacement contamination and ensures stable plating liquid quality.

1. Core Corrosion-Resistant Materials (Liquid Contact Parts)

  • PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride – Top Choice)Excellent resistance to cyanide solutions, strong alkalis and organic complexing agents. Temperature resistance: 70–90°C. Anti-aging and anti-swelling, ideal for high-temperature and high-concentration cyanide silver plating systems.
  • PPH (Modified Polypropylene)Resistant to moderate strong alkalis and low-concentration cyanide liquids. Temperature limit: ≤70°C. Cost-effective for normal-temperature, low-concentration cyanide-free/low-cyanide silver plating.
  • CPVCWithstands acids, alkalis and moderate oxidants. Temperature limit: ≤60°C, suitable for mild silver plating working conditions.
  • Sealing ComponentsAdopt full FKM (Fluororubber) / PTFE materials; ordinary rubber is prohibited to avoid leakage and corrosion under strong alkali and cyanide environments.
  • Key Design PrincipleNo contact with active metals such as iron, copper and zinc, to prevent displacement reactions that consume silver salts and contaminate plating solutions.

2. Specialized Structural Design for Silver Plating

  1. Sealless Magnetic Drive PumpLeak-proof, dry-run resistant, with low shearing force to stabilize plating additives and prevent silver ion precipitation.
  2. Light-proof & Fully Enclosed Filter BarrelIntegrally molded with PVDF/PPH material, minimal welding seams to reduce corrosion dead corners. Light-shielding design inhibits photolysis of silver plating solution.
  3. High-precision FiltrationFiltration precision: 0.5–5μm (0.1μm optional). Captures fine particles, colloids and metal debris for smooth, pinhole-free and high-brightness silver coatings.
  4. Full Inert Fluid PathPipelines, connectors and filter cartridge frames are all made of PVDF/PP material to eliminate metal ion precipitation.

3. Typical Application Scenarios

  • Cyanide Silver Plating (Strong Alkaline + Cyanide Ions): PVDF configuration is mandatory for superior resistance to strong alkali and cyanide corrosion.
  • Cyanide-Free Silver Plating (Alkaline/Neutral Complexing Agent): PVDF or PPH is applicable for room temperature working conditions.
  • Electronics, Jewelry & Ornament Silver Plating: Full PVDF structure with 0.5–1μm high-precision filtration for high-adhesion and high-gloss plating layers.

4. Selection Guidelines & Avoidance Tips

  • Material Matching: PVDF for cyanide & high-temperature environments; PPH for normal-temperature cyanide-free processes. Metal liquid contact parts are strictly forbidden.
  • Filtration Precision: 0.5–1μm for precision silver plating; 3–5μm for standard industrial silver plating.
  • Flow Rate Configuration: The hourly circulating flow shall be 2–4 times the tank liquid volume to maintain uniform and stable solution composition.
  • Temperature Control: Max 90°C for PVDF, max 70°C for PPH. Excessive temperature will accelerate material aging and corrosion.

5. Maintenance & Service Life

  • Replace filter cartridges timely when the pressure difference exceeds 0.2MPa to avoid secondary impurity release.
  • Drain residual liquid completely during long-term shutdown to prevent corrosion from concentrated chemical residue.
  • Service Life Reference:PVDF main body: 3–5 years

    PPH main body: 2–3 years

    Fluororubber seals: 6–12 months
